Art Basel Miami
Art Basel Miami Beach is the most important art fair in the Americas and one of the most prestigious events in the international art calendar. The Art Basel fairs are known for featuring major works by artists worldwide and attracting a wide range of collectors from across the globe.
Art Basel Miami Beach was launched in 2002 as a satellite event to Art Basel in Switzerland. When three of the world's most prominent art dealers – Ernst Beyeler, Trudi Bruckner, and Balz Hilt – joined their expertise to create a new kind of art fair in Switzerland, they opened up a whole new world of possibilities. It has grown into an international destination for art enthusiasts, with more than 50,000 visitors attending over three days. Art Basel Miami Beach is now firmly established as one of the best-known contemporary art fairs in the world. It attracts some of the biggest names in contemporary art worldwide while also providing a platform for emerging talent.
In addition to its flagship event in Switzerland, Art Basel organizes several satellite fairs internationally each year: Art Basel in Hong Kong (held every autumn), Art Basel in London (held every spring), and numerous independent events under the name Art Unlimited. In addition, there are two further editions of Art Unlimited: one in Miami Beach; and another in Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District, which opened in May 2019. The event showcases galleries worldwide, attracting a high concentration of collectors and curators.
The Conference will occur at the Miami Beach Convention Center in downtown Miami, FL, beginning Wednesday, December 1, 2022, and concluding Saturday, December 4, 2022.
